Andy Cohen Admits He Was "So Nervous" to Kiss "Hot" Jennifer Lawrence on Watch What Happens Live
View Date:2025-01-11 06:16:36
Andy Cohen was feeling the butterflies.
The Watch What Happens Live host recently opened up about locking lips with Bravo super-fan Jennifer Lawrence back in June while she was a guest on his late-night show.
"You know what?" Andy revealed when a fan asked how he'd rank his kiss with the No Hard Feelings star in an "Ask Andy" Q&A video shared August 21. "I was so nervous to kiss her. I think she's so hot."
He added with a sly grin, "Yeah no it was nice, it was really nice."
The kiss in question occurred after Andy told the Bravo superfan during the show's after-show, "I'd be totally into kissing you." And in true Jennifer, she was game.
"Well, I feel like you kissed John Mayer but you've never kissed me," she replied, referencing the 2018 WWHL episode where Andy and his longtime friend locked lips. She jokingly added, "He's more your type I guess."
But Andy was quick to set the record straight, replying, "I am attracted to you. I'd love to kiss you—consensually." And after granting him permission, the Hunger Games alum leaned in for a quick smooch, after which Andy cheered, "Oh my god! Thank you."
And this isn't the only kiss that came up in conversation during the Oscar winner's appearance. The 32-year-old also addressed her past WWHL confession that she and former costar Liam Hemsworth had once locked lips while he and Miley Cyrus—who ended their 10-year on-again/off-again relationship for good in 2019—were not together.
During a 2015 appearance on the show, she had admitted that she and Liam had shared an off-camera moment. "Liam and I grew up together," she told the host at the time. "Liam's real hot. What would you have done?…Yeah, I have."
Flash forward 8 years, during a round of "Plead the Fifth" during her June appearance, Andy addressed Jennifer's fling—specifically the timing of it. He asked the Silver Linings Playbook actress, "When Miley Cyrus' song 'Flowers' debuted, there was a lot of talk that the music video was referencing a secret fling that you had with Liam Hemsworth while he was with Miley Cyrus."
But Jennifer—who married art gallerist Cooke Maroney in 2019—was quick to set the record straight. "Not true," she replied. "Not true, total rumor."
She added, "We all know Liam and I, like, kissed one time. It was years after they broke up. So I just assume [the music video] was a coincidence."
